This is a breakdown of DRAW's member ranking system and how promotions work. Each rank up requires having been the previous rank for a time, with the exception of Guild Friend and Inactive.
Founder
Leader
Officer
Veteran
Member
Recruit
----------
Guild Friend
Inactive
Founder - Founder of the guild. Has very influential word in any major decisions but lets the leader run the guild. DRAW was founded 2 days after Guild Wars 2 launched, by Kultis and Skyie.
Leader - Leader of the guild. This is the person in charge of ensuring that the guild runs smoothly. Upgrades, bonuses, missions, recruitment, member management, forum management, guild alliances, record keeping - these are a large part of the leaders job. When issues or questions arise this is the person to go to if officers cannot assist. Promotion to this rank is earned through extreme contribution to the guild and with founder and current leader approval. A new leader will be chosen and trained when the current leader is ready to retire. DRAW's leader is Quinn Winters.
Officer - Officers are people who contribute to the guild by frequently helping other members. Officers have the ability to invite new members, kick problem members, activate guild bounties if enough people want to do one, and to place guild bonus banners if the need calls for them. Officers always either have an answer or know who to ask or where to look to get an answer to any question. Officers are capable of completing or participating in any content in the game and are willing to help others to complete or participate in any content. Some officers have specific duties in addition to those previously stated. Promotion to this rank is earned by having been in the guild a long time, being trusted by the leader, and being noticed as an extremely helpful member of the guild. Officers must have or be near 100% map completion and have at least 2,000 achievement points.
Veteran - Veterans are members who 1, have or are near level 80 with at least one character and have near or more than 1,000 achievement points, and 2, have been in the guild and representing for at least two weeks and/or have earned founder/leader/officer trust on ventrillo. Veterans have access to the Treasure Trove and Deep Cave in the guild bank, and have the ability to invite people to the guild. The rank of Veteran shows up on the rank list as the next to lowest rank, but this is actually the rank above Member. The reason it shows up as a low rank is so that Veterans can invite new people to the guild but can't kick regular members. Blame anet.
Member - Members are members who have not yet reached level 80 with a character and/or have not been in the guild for 2 weeks and/or have not yet earned founder/leader/officer trust.
Recruit - Recruits are members who have recently been invited to the guild. Recruit status is replaced with Member status as soon as the member joins, represents, is informed of our 100% represent rule and told where to find vent and forum information. Recruits who do not represent within 3 days of joining are subject to be kicked from DRAW without notice, though in most cases they will be messaged in-game to see if they would like to represent. Members who are found not representing, regardless of rank, will be dropped to the rank of recruit until they once more represent. Members who frequently get a rank drop in this fashion risk being dropped from the guild.
----------
Guild Friend - This is a rank reserved for people who are in other guilds who are friends of DRAW, primarily leaders or prominent members of other guilds, for the purposes of sharing information and putting raiding parties together. This is the only rank that is not required to represent. Guild Friends have no guild benefits - the only thing they are allowed to do is represent, talk in chat, and display the guild emblem. Guild Friends are subject to be kicked from DRAW at any time without notice to make room for new representing members.
Inactive - Inactive is a rank reserved for people who have either received and ignored a one week warning to represent before being dropped from the guild, or who have received a one week warning to respond before being dropped for inactivity. This rank exists solely for organization purposes and much of the time no members will have this rank.
