Influence is the currency that guilds spend to purchase bonuses, missions and other guild-wide upgrades. Influence is earned for a guild when members of the guild participate in events, PvP, or solo content while representing the guild. Influence can also be purchased by talking to a Guild Promoter npc, which will always be located near any Guild Bank, or by using a consumable item such as Letter of Commendation, which grants 400 to 1,000 Influence. More influence is earned when guild members do events together. If a guild member does an event by themselves, 2 Influence is earned for the guild from that event. If a guild member is doing an event with just one other person from the guild, 20 influence is earned for the guild from that event. This means that it's much better if you're in a party with other players from the guild. The guilds current Influence count can be found in the upper right corner of the guild panel. By clicking on the third tab down in the guild panel, the Upgrades tab, you can examine for yourself how the upgrades work. A list titled Current Upgrades will be shown on the right with the names of the currently active upgrades and their remaining time ticking down beside them. Current upgrades can also be viewed by hovering over the guild panel icon (the shield) at the top of the screen. Useful Links:wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Influence
